The Hitman’s Bodyguard follows Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds), a once AAA rated executive protection agent, who is now down on his luck, due to an issue on a job gone horribly wrong. He is asked by his former girlfriend, Amelia Roussel (Elodie Yung) to help her protect a deadly hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) who is needed to testify in an international criminal case. Kincaid’s testimony is needed to help put a dangerous politician Vladislav Dukhobivh (Gary Oldman) in jail for his horrible crimes. From then on, the movie follows Michael and Kincaid on a hilarious yet dangerous journey to make it to court not only on time but most importantly alive.

Hitman's Bodyguard

Ryan Reynolds delivers as the annoying yet funny bodyguard who doesn’t really want to protect his new client. Samuel L. Jackson brings his cursing A game to this film and also decides to share some of his singing skills with the audience as he delivers laugh after laugh. When I saw the first trailer for this film, I knew their chemistry would be great, and these two did not disappoint in the movie. What I loved most about this film was the perfect balance of comedy and some great action as these two try to survive without killing each other first. This film also had a great soundtrack which only added to how great this movie was.

Hitman's Bodyguard

Overall, I really enjoyed this film. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are a match made in comedic heaven. I will say for those of you who do not like comedy with tons of cursing; this film may not be for you. However, I think most moviegoers will leave the theater excited and ready for a sequel to this film. I would have to say you PAY to see this movie in theaters.
