I was on the fence when I first heard they were going to make a live remake of the Jungle Book. Not another remake! For Disney’s The Jungle Book they finally got it right. This is actually the third remake of Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. Filmed in downtown Los Angeles with full CGI no actual animals were filmed for this movie and you can’t believe it when you see the movie.

Jungle Book follows the original storyline as its predecessors of the young abandoned man cub Mowgli, played by newcomer Neel Sethi, who is forced to leave his pack after the threat of Shere Khan. Idris Elba was brilliantly cast to voice Shere Khan, his voice is spot on in being menacing. This isn’t a typical sing along Disney movie but there are a few songs including the famous Bare Necessities performed non other than by Bill Murray as the voice of  Baloo.

If you are taking your kids please know that a few scenes in the movie may be scary. Even as a grown woman I jumped a few times. (Please no judgement) Overall it is an amazing movie with brilliant voice casting and a must see in 3D. Have you seen the Jungle Book yet? Tell us what you think below.
