Last week I had the pleasure of attending a Four Roses Bourbon dinner at Under the Cork Tree as a Culinary Local Ambassador. I have to admit as a bourbon connoisseur, I was most excited for the bourbon tasting, but the food absolutely blew me away. When I first arrived, I was greeted by the hostess and taken into the event space with the other attendees. We all received a specialty cocktail called the Honey Bees Knees that would excite even those who aren’t used to drinking bourbon.

If you are interested in learning more about the history of some of your favorite bourbon companies and are a foodie this is the event you want to attend. I had so much fun learning about Four Roses and their history over the years. Even more, I enjoyed the amazing food pairings that went with the bourbon. One of my favorite dishes was the Harrisa rubbed Pork Tenderloin with crispy brussel sprouts, and smoked cherry sauce. This dish was also paired with the Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon. The food was so amazing that I almost forgot I was at a bourbon tasting. Under the Cork Tree is definitely on my shortlist for favorite Atlanta restaurant.

Overall, I had a great time at the Four Roses Bourbon dinner. I had some great food and bourbon and also met some cool people. We even were able to try a limited special release bourbon which was divine. Did I mention this cost for this event was only $50 for 5 courses and 5 drinks? The pricing is definitely a steal and worth every penny and then some. I can’t wait to see what dinner event they come up with next.

Please Note: I received my meal and drinks for free in exchange for a blog post but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
