This past Friday, I had the pleasure of celebrating a friends birthday at TWO Urban Licks. I have previously visited TWO Urban Licks for drinks, and after witnessing the great atmosphere I had to come back to try their food. I was very excited to dine there and it did not disappoint.
TWO Urban Licks has incredible wood-fired cuisine, live rotating rotisseries, the first ever 26 ft wine one tap barrel wall in the country, breathtaking views, and beautiful decor. Their Executive Chef, Michael Bertozzi, continues to showcase wood-roasted meats and fishes with the touch of heat that Atlantans have come to know and love.
The restaurant was very packed when I arrived and they had an amazing live blues band providing great tunes for the night. We were seated in a beautiful dining room with a gorgeous wall made from plants. This restaurant is perfect for any occasion providing an intimate feel for a great night out. I would also recommend you use Lyft to avoid the downtown traffic but they also provide valet for those of you who are brave enough to drive.
I know this is very cliche but every dish we had was simply amazing. Their menu is arranged from the numbers 0 (Starters), 1 (Salads), 2 (Entrees), and 3 (Dessert). This was a hard decision to showcase a few of the amazing items we tasted but I will give you some of my favorites.
This is hands down the best Empanada in Atlanta! This dish comes with a oversized an empanada split in half made with brisket, garlic crema, pico de gallo and feta. If we didn’t have so much more food to eat on the table I definitely would have ordered more because it was so delicious.
I let my awesome waiter surprise me and he was the real MVP of the night for choosing the Branzino. This dish was the perfect choice for me, since I love fish and I love brussel sprouts even more. This dish comes with a wood roasted Branzino, a European seabass, with brussels sprouts in an amazing sauce. I promise you I was full from the great appetizers and was worried I wouldn’t be able to finish my dish. Let’s just say my fork never left my hand and there was no food left on my plate when I finally put it down.
Another star dish of the table would have to be the Wood Oven Lobster. This dish comes with a whole Maine lobster with crispy chips, creme fraiche, wild paddlefish caviar, and tarragon. One of my friends promised to give the birthday girl a bite of her lobster but quickly regretted that decision once she took her first bite. If you love lobster you should not think twice about ordering this dish!
I loved my visit to TWO Urban Licks and was in complete foodie heaven as a result. Everyone loved their food and the amazing service we received from our waiter. I definitely recommend you PAY to dine at this restaurant.
