The Hitman’s Bodyguard follows Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds), a once AAA rated executive protection agent, who is now down on his luck, due to an issue on a job gone horribly wrong. He is asked by his former girlfriend, Amelia Roussel (Elodie Yung) to help her protect a deadly hitman Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) who is needed to testify in an international criminal case. Kincaid’s testimony is needed to help put a dangerous politician Vladislav Dukhobivh (Gary Oldman) in jail for his horrible crimes. From then on, the movie follows Michael and Kincaid on a hilarious yet dangerous journey to make it to court not only on time but most importantly alive.
Ryan Reynolds delivers as the annoying yet funny bodyguard who doesn’t really want to protect his new client. Samuel L. Jackson brings his cursing A game to this film and also decides to share some of his singing skills with the audience as he delivers laugh after laugh. When I saw the first trailer for this film, I knew their chemistry would be great, and these two did not disappoint in the movie. What I loved most about this film was the perfect balance of comedy and some great action as these two try to survive without killing each other first. This film also had a great soundtrack which only added to how great this movie was.
Overall, I really enjoyed this film. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson are a match made in comedic heaven. I will say for those of you who do not like comedy with tons of cursing; this film may not be for you. However, I think most moviegoers will leave the theater excited and ready for a sequel to this film. I would have to say you PAY to see this movie in theaters.

It was ok….entertaining in spurts…but mostly felt like an SNL skit that is about 45 minutes too long. 6.5/10.
Definitely WAIT. Will be more entertaining at home when you can stop and start it for smaller doses.
I throughly enjoyed this movie. The comedy did not detract from the mission. In fact the conflicting personalities assisted you in getting pass the violence. A four star movie for me! Pay

Super funny movie! A nice love story & great bromance!
Wasn’t the greatest movie, but I wanted to laugh, and it definitely did that for me.
I really enjoyed this movie! It was funnier than I expected, the chemistry between Jackson and Reynolds was great, Oldman was a great villain as always and the action was great. The soundtrack was a nice touch.
I really enjoyed the movie. It had me laughing throughout movie. Loved the difference in character personalities. That added more humor and needless to say Samuel L. Jackson adds another level of craziness!!
I really liked the movie from beginning to end. Samuel really brought his comedic ability to light. Very funny movie. The plot was good, a lot of action and I couldn’t stop laughing.
