A few weeks ago, I took a much-needed getaway vacation to Tampa. During my stay, I found myself always relaxing on St. Pete Beach. I decided for my last night on vacation that I wanted to stay somewhere on the main beach. After hours of research, I found a lovely place called The Postcard Inn.
When I arrived, I was greeted immediately and given my room key. I walked through a beautiful outdoor courtyard past the pool as I arrived at the room I would be staying in. One of the main reasons I chose The Postcard Inn was due to their beautifully renovated rooms. They hands down had some of the nicest rooms I had seen out of all of the hotels on the beach. I loved the hardwood floors mixed with the modern beach decor in the rooms.
After I was settled in, I had to get some sun at their pool. The pool was located right outside of my room which made it even more convenient to access. The staff was friendly by the pool and even had fresh towels for the guests to use.
If you want to venture a little further towards the beach, then you must visit the PCI Beach Bar. I had the pleasure of spending quite some time at this place during my weekend visit. There is always a good crowd of people there dancing to awesome music and sipping on some amazing drinks. I had so much fun at this bar that I even ordered food there so that I could stay a little longer.
Now you know I couldn’t stay this close to the beach and not lay out by the water. After I had some drinks and food at PCI Beach Bar, I spoke with John about renting a cabana. John was one of the most friendly and attentive workers I have ever met. If you want to rent some chairs or cabanas to lay out by the pool make sure you talk to him. I had such a great time in my cabana looking out at the ocean that I even came back the second day to lay out before I had to catch my flight.
If you are in St. Petersburg and you want to stay on the main beach, then The Postcard Inn is where you want to be. They have beautifully renovated rooms, excellent service, and easy access to the beach. For more info and to book your reservation, please visit their website here.
